Students will get 10 new vocabulary words each week (WOW). They will copy the words and definitions on Monday and will be quizzed on Friday. If a student is out, they are responsible for getting the words and being prepared for the quiz. If a student is out on quiz day, it is their responsibility to make up the quiz within an appropriate time frame.

Students will have a notebook grade at the end of the 9 week period. It is a major grade and their notebooks/bonders should be in order and contain all material covered over the course of the 9 week period.

Students will be studying the states and capitals the first 9 week period. They will need to know the location by region.

If a student misses a grade for my class, they will see a 0 entered in the grade book. When the grade is made up, within an appropriate time period, the grade will be replaced. If a student needs to stay after school to make up missing work, I am available on Tuesday afternoon until 3:10. Students will need to have a note with permission.

Students are not permitted to eat or drink in my class, including gum or candy. Only during snack time, 12:30 - 12:45 are students allowed to have a healthy snack. They may not share with friends.
